Morning Ritual
Everybody has a morning ritual. Like a lot of people my ritual involves bathroom scales. Everyday I step on my scale hoping I lost weight or at least didn’t gain any. If I lost weight then I’m in for a good day. If I gain, I want to crawl under the covers and sleep again.
I’m a triathlete and I work out almost every day. I’ll swim, bike or run or do a combination of all three six days a week. I use the bathroom scales to chart my progress. As I get closer to my race, I have to lose weight. If I don’t then I will either have to exercise more or eat less. The scale is vital to my training. By race day, I should be fit and trim and strong as an ox.
