faucet water filter

If all you need is purified water for drinking and cooking it will not be necessary to install a sophisticated filtration system. A faucet water filter will provide the necessary purified water. Faucet water filters are simply water purification systems that are designed to be installed into most standard sized kitchen faucets. While the level of filtration varies from system to system, most faucet water filters will adequately filter out contaminants in your water such as chlorine, lead and other heavy metals. It can be more expensive than a pitcher filter but they are less expensive than under sink installations.

Installation of a faucet water filter is easy and straightforward. To install, simply unscrew the aerator on your existing kitchen faucet and then screw in your new faucet water filter. It will need no further maintenance except making sure that filters operate at maximum efficiency by regularly checking on the filter cartridges and replacing them when needed. Manufacturers will suggest that you do this every three or four months. But it really depends on the amount of usage.
