red tea

Tea has been known to have originated in China. However, Africa also has their own red tea that they can be proud of. If the regular tea comes from the plant Camellia sinensis, this one comes from a plant called Rooibos which means “red bush”. Its leaves are dried and oxidized and made into tisane. This type of tea is currently being served in lots of tea houses all over the world.

Red tea has been very popular because of its many benefits:

~Provides relief for colic in babies and stomach cramps
~Boosts immune system
~Contains calcium, iron, copper, potassium, zinc, alpha-hydroxy, manganese and magnesium
~Slows down skin aging
~Good for asthma and hay fever
~Cures insomnia
