loose tea

Since teabags were invented in the early 1900s, the question for tea drinkers has become: bag or loose? For convenience purposes, teabags win hands down. Since they are individually wrapped, they can be carried anywhere. All you’ll need is a cup of hot water.

However, loose tea has a fuller flavor. Firstly, to get the best flavor from tea leaves, they must have room to expand. If they are able to unfurl, they will be able to swirl freely in the water where they are steeping and release the full flavor. Furthermore, most loose leaf tea comes with whole leaves unlike teabags that are sometimes filled with the tea dust found at the bottom of crates and barrels of tea.
