Nutritional supplements

Don’t you sometimes wonder why we keep controlling what we eat and then take more and more supplements? The answer to that is because we are overfed and undernourished. Studies are showing that we are not getting what we need from our diets. We consume a lot of convenience foods that are high in calories but low in nutrition. Nutritional supplements fill in what is lacking in our diets.

Our bodies need a broad range of nutritional supplements. We need vitamins, minerals, amino acids, essential fatty acids and glyco-nutrients to keep a strong immune system, replace and repair dying and damaged cells and remove toxins from the body. Talking with a doctor will give you an idea of what nutritional supplements to take, in what doses and when to start taking them. Generally, the factors that will be considered are the age of the patient, the kind of activities that he indulges in, his type of work and others. The amount of stress that a person is exposed to is also considered.
