Philips AED pads

Philips is the leader in portable defibrillation technology. It designed the HeadStart, an onsite defibrillator for use by an ordinary person. It is meant to be used in homes, schools, churches and other peopled places. AEDs make use of pads to connect to the patient. The HeadStart uses Smart Pads for this purpose.

Philips AED pads are called Smart Pads. They are placed on the patient’s bare skin and information is transmitted to the machine. This is how it senses the situation and determines the actions that have to be done. The pads are for single use and are disposable. They are packaged in a plastic case that fits into the carry case. Extra sets of pads should always be available.
