Symptoms for tinnitus

Some head noise is normal such as when you go inside a sound proof booth and the normal noises outside are suddenly minimized. However, there are people who can hear different, unpleasant sounds that can arise in the outer, middle or inner ear. Symptoms for tinnitus include a ringing or swishing type of noise.

One of the most common causes of tinnitus is damage to the microscopic endings of the hearing nerve in the inner ear. As people get older, a certain amount of hearing will be generally accompanied by a certain amount of hearing nerve impairment and, consequently, tinnitus. Today, loud noise exposure brought by modern gadgets has become a common cause of tinnitus that often damages hearing as well.
