meditation cushions
I just started taking yoga classes 6 months ago. It hasn’t been very easy since I have back problems and I am not exactly fit. What I enjoy most about yoga is that I get to do meditations. Meditation has helped me eliminate stress and has made me more relaxed. There is nothing like sitting amidst the meditation cushions in my yoga class room, sometimes it feels like the most comfortable place on earth.
I decided to recreate my yoga class meditation room at home. The first I thing was to buy meditation cushions. I learned that there are different types of cushions; the most popular ones are the Zafu and the Zabuton. The Zafu is rounded and looks like your typical throw pillow except its more firm and thicker in height. I do my meditations while sitting on top of my Zafu. The Zabuton is a larger cushion, rectangular in shape, not as firm or as thick as a Zafu. It is meant to be placed under the Zafu. The Zabuton is used to cushion your ankles and legs.
