What Causes Tinnitus?
Are you hearing a constant ringing or swishing sound in your ear? This condition is called tinnitus. Tinnitus is not a serious condition in itself. It is usually a symptom of an underlying condition. Usually the causes of tinnitus are not serious. But it can be a nuisance to the one who suffers from it.
Age is one of the usual causes of tinnitus. It can be related to hearing loss that comes with the aging process. Other causes are injuries to the ear or objects lodged in the ear that may damage the nerves. Others get tinnitus from loud noise. Tinnitus is also linked to depression, stress and fatigue.
