push up workout

Get a full body workout minus the weights and bars. Toning your muscles should not be very expensive. One can build an excellent body by just using your own body weight. A basic push up workout can already replace the gym-based bench press. It’s just a matter of correct positioning of the arms and body. Doing push ups correctly can provide you with the full benefit of a regular bench press minus the heavy weights that can even cause injury.

A correct push up position should be deep with the chest closer to the floor. As you place your body down on the floor, the arms should be in a 90 degree angle. This way, the muscle groups in the chest and arms are fully exercised. If you want a work out that concentrates on the upper chest, simply place your feet on a chair as you do your push ups.
