Examples of Extreme Workout
This program is for people who like to push themselves to extreme limits. It is not for the faint hearted. The idea behind extreme workout is to keep moving, using obstacles for jumping, hoping and climbing. A good place to do this is in a park where there are monkey bars, jungle gym equipment, benches and stairs. When you get to an area where there are no obstacles you can roll, cartwheel, leap and spin.
Extreme workout is possible by doing a series of exercises continuously. An example is the Spartan Run which consists of the following:
Another is the 20 Minute Challenge
- 1 mile run
- 100 push-ups in as few sets as possible
- 100 crunches
- 1 mile run
- 75 push-ups in as few sets as possible
- 75 crunches
- 1 mile run
- 50 push-ups
- 50 crunches
- 100 pull ups as few sets as possible
- 200 push-ups in as few 2 minute sets as possible
- 300 crunches in as few 2 minute sets as possible
