Strengthen Your Core Muscles and Increase Flexibility
Challenge your body by putting it in an unstable position. Lie down on a Pilates ball to help develop your core muscles. When you body lies on the ball, it will react by contracting the abdomen and legs to keep you from falling over. When you add other exercises to this, you will increase the intensity of the movement and the efficiency of your workout.
Pilates balls are versatile exercise tools that can be used for many workouts other than Pilates. Even kids love playing with them. The ball on its own can be used for increasing flexibility using correct stretching and relaxing exercises. Many yoga enthusiasts also use Pilates balls as part of their yoga workouts too.
