cardiovascular activities
When you use the major muscle groups of the body your heart beats to provide the needed oxygenated blood to areas of the body that needs it. In the process the heart becomes stronger. The more you execute cardiovascular activities, the more your heart becomes stronger. It is able to pump more blood and distribute it to wherever it is needed. If done on a regular basis, the heart will become healthy and efficient.
Activities such as walking, swimming or running constitute cardiovascular activities. The idea is to start at a slow pace and move on to a more difficult and extensive level. A beginner’s cardiovascular program can start with an easy walk on a level path. An easy walk will mean that you are able to walk and keep a conversation comfortably. Do these for about 20 – 30 minutes 3 – 5 times a week initially before you advance to a more challenging routine.
