elderly health information
Many of the common diseases that plague the elderly and the not so elderly are the cumulative results of an unhealthy lifestyle. Common diseases of the elderly such as heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes, are brought about by smoking, unhealthy eating, absence of exercise and the inability to control stress. More and more human beings live to old age than ever before. It is imperative that elderly health information should be disseminated so that their quality of life is not threatened by physical illness and disability such as arthritis, heart disease and diabetes. Surely, we all want to enjoy life to its fullest with minimal interference of unwanted diseases.
This is possible if the young will start taking meaningful advice from doctors to heart. Some of these are – stop smoking, eat a healthy diet, exercise regularly and whenever possible, avoid stressful situations. There seems to be a swelling wave of awareness about these rules. We are seeing more and more organic stores in support of healthy eating. We are also seeing how there are more young people running or jogging in the early morning. Exercise gyms are always full of people. Is this a sign that we are on our way to heeding the doctors’ advice?
