Dealing with Incontinence
The term adult incontinence usually refers to urinary incontinence. Urinary incontinence is the involuntary and unintentional discharge or leaking of urine. This condition is a common aspect of the aging process for many people. Incontinence affects both male and female genders. However, this does not mean that adults under 60 cannot become incontinent, since there are different factors which can contribute to this medical condition which leads people to buy adult diapers.
When the urethral muscles are not released voluntarily the leakage of urine occurs. This is due to the pressure inside the bladder exceeding the pressure of the urethra muscle. The urethra usually keeps urine contained in the bladder until a person voluntarily releases it through conscious action, but there are different factors can contribute to involuntary release. This involuntarily relaxation of muscles needs not be constant, and can actually occur from muscle stress. There are many incontinence products available that can address needs of those who must deal with the reality of adult incontinence.
