Diabetic Cure under Development
It is important to treat high blood pressure because it increases the risk of coronary heart disease and stroke especially when there are other risk factors such as diabetes present. If a person has high blood pressure and diabetes, the risk for cardiovascular disease increases significantly. Conversely, complications of diabetes can also be prevented by controlling the blood pressure. In general blood pressure should not go above 130/80. The first number is the “systolic pressure” or the pressure in the arteries when your heart beats and fills the arteries with blood. The second number is the “diastolic pressure” or the pressure in the arteries when your heart relaxes.
As far as I know there is no proven cure for diabetes yet. There are however certain pills that are claiming to be able to cure diabetes the natural way. They do not actually cure, just alleviate symptoms. But diabetics should not lose hope. There are several approaches in the research pipeline that if successful will cure diabetes in the real sense of the word. These experiments involve pancreas transplantation, islet cell transplantation, artificial pancreas development and genetic manipulation.
