When my son was diagnosed with autism, I was devastated. I thought everything progressed well during my pregnancy since I had done everything that my doctor asked me to do. And when I gave birth to him, I had a normal epidural procedure. My doctor was very sympathetic but he could not fill me in on the details that I needed to know.

I felt that I needed to meet people who had gone through the same thing, parents whose kids were also autistic. I went online and found many sites that offer autism help and support groups. Now I know that I am not alone in my predicament.
